Spring Awakening photo@thecastle results

10th April 2021 by Whittington Castle

I am very pleased to announce the results of Spring Awakening photo@thecastle competition. Our local champion judge Sandra Rees from “Waggy Tail” Dog groomers in Whittington had a very difficult time. She said so many fantastic photo’s really depicting spring. Below are her choices and her reasons for choosing them.

Under 15 year old

1. Winner Lockdown lambing by Steven Evans age 12 years– I have spent many happy hours watching lambing.

2. Once upon a spring day by Bethany Williams age 15 years – this picture really draws you in.

3. Flowers in bloom by Dylan Williams age 12 years – great to see such a good photo – the colours are brilliant and remind me of spring.

Over 15 year old

1. At the Mere at Ellesmere by K Owens – I love the tranquility in this picture

2. Spring has sprung by J Hughes – of course I had to choose a dog picture!

3. I love ewe by J Sheffield – I have spent so many happy hours watching lambs around Chirk Castle.

Thank you to everyone for entering the competition.

Our next theme will be “Welcome back to Whittington” – entries in by 6th May and can be taken in and around Whittington Castle and village. We will launch this very soon.
