It was on a lovely cloudy evening when I walked past with my family to see the Christmas lights in our Village. It was just beginning to get dark and the lights went on!

I took this picture when Santa was at the Castle with his Sleigh. Its always magical when he comes past in our village

I took this picture on a cold morning when the sun was really golden. It only happens in December when you get the reflection and that means Christmas is not far away.

Light, both indoors and outdoors, has been an important part of Christmas this year. My photo combines the creativity of the patchwork ornament with the reflection of the indoor lights on the bells and the lights in the garden outside.

Red sky at night Whittington’s delight by Debbie Stedman
We went for a family walk after our Christmas dinner & noticed the swans had returned & the sky was beautiful. The dramatic sky had gone as quick as it arrived.

We lost my Mother in 2020 and always travelled South to be with her at Christmas, so this year was first at home in 15 years. My wife wanted a uniquely ‘Shropshire Christmas’ scene so snuck out when the snow landed over Xmas and captured this shot for her.

12 days of Christmas 7 swans a swimming by Julie Sheffield
I wanted a photo to represent the circle of life and no matter how bad a situation may seem if you look you can always find beauty at the Castle. This year the swans raised 7 cygnets after the disappointment of the previous year
