Hodnet School visit March 2009

Whittington Castle welcomes school groups for educational visits to the Castle.  We have an educational room equipped with tables, chairs, computers etc ready waiting for you.

We have costumes and replica weapons etc in order to enhance your visit.

We can provide themed sessions for classes linked to the National Curriculum.

Sessions cost from £3 per pupil.  Please ask for price.

Pupils get the chance to explore this historic site on a tour and talk.  They learn about some of the characters who once lived here.

They then get to join our fun quiz trail/hunt where they form teams of

Castle Guards

Entertainers/Fools

Castle Servants

Lady Eleanor and Guests

Welsh Raiding Party

Costumes are provided. 

Tables set out for a medieval style banquet lunch. 

Goody bags for each pupil starting at £1 each.

Role Play and Drama session.
