Betty has laid 9 eggs so far on her rapidly completed nest.  Bill is preening and showing off around the moat and the proud mum to be is elegantly sitting on or close to her nest.

Cygnets should hatch in May.

NEWS FLASH THE EGGS HAVE STARTED TO HATCH!!  1 CYGNET SO FAR AT 11.30AM FRIDAY 1ST MAY. 

AS OF SUNDAY 3RD MAY WE HAVE 6 CYGNETS HATCHED AND ALL SAFE AND ON THE WATER WITH MUM. UPDATE 1 CYGNET DID NOT SURIVE AND WE NOW HAVE 5 CYGNETS.  THE FAMILY HAVE GONE DOWN TO THE RIVER FOR PROTECTION.
