Whittington Castle Events

The Castle does its best to provide a list of events throughout the year.  From Easter Egg hunting, Car Boot Sales, Family Fun days to Medieval Re-enactment.

Our largest event each year is our Halloween evening and Ghost Tours.

2012 EVENTS PLANNED SO FAR

24th-26th February Wedding Exhibition and Designer Wedding Dress sale.  Daily 11-3pm.

Sunday 11th March - Provisional Day for King Edwards' Living History Group Archery Day and Have a Go Archery with Gary Scott.

30th March Seance evening with Rob Chapman.  Tickets £15 from Castle or phone 01691 662500

31st March - The House of the Blackstar Medieval Re-enactment Day

8th April - Easter Egg Hunt & Stalls

8th-9th April - The House of the Blackstar Medieval Re-enactment Weekend and "Have a Go Archery".

14th-22nd April - Wrexham Art Group Exhibition

5th-7th May - Historia Normannis Re-enactment Weekend and                  Re-enactment Fair.

13th May - Green Fair.  10-4pm

19th-20th May - The House of the Blackstar Medieval Re-enactment Weekend

3rd June - Diamond Jubilee Village event.  Commnuity Event at the Castle

3rd June - Open Air Shakespeare Production.  Richard 111.  Details to follow

4-5th June - Fairy and Dragon Festival - details to follow

Friday 22nd June - Outdoor Shakespeare Production.  The Comedy of Errors. We are very excited to announce that we have secured a top notch Director to direct our next Shakespeare play, Peter Layton.  He  retired to North Wales.  He was the founder of The Drama Studio in London and New York and is well know as both an actor and director.
