Whittington Castle Events

The Castle does its best to provide a list of events throughout the year.  From Easter Egg hunting, Car Boot Sales, Family Fun days to Medieval Re-enactment.

Our largest event each year is our Halloween evening and Ghost Tours.

 

EVENTS PLANNED FOR 2010 SO FAR

7th March

Archery Day at the Castle - Free event just pay to park £1 per car.  King Edwards' Re-enactment group will give Archery demonstrations.  A event suitable for all the family.

13th March

Join Ghost Night events for an overnight investigation of Whittington Castle. The team have recently been filmed by the BBC investigating the ghosts of Tissington Hall in Derbyshire. 7.30pm until 4.15am Upon application. www.ghostnightevents.co.uk

21st March

The House of the Blackstar - Training day for the Re-enactor Group. Setting up camp and introducing Lady Eleanor to her household!  Free all day event. £1 to park.

Easter Weekend - 3rd-5th April

The House of the Blackstar - Medieval Re-enactors encampment. Free event but £1 to park.

Easter Sunday April 4th - Easter Egg Hunt at the Castle.  Join in the fun.

2nd-3rd May - Historia Normannis Re-enactors at the Castle for Bank holiday Sunday and Monday.  Free event but £1 to park.  See website at http://www.normannis.co.uk/
